We are delighted to announce that the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES) will hold the 2nd JGES International (the official international congress of JGES) on September 11-12, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan. The president of the 2nd congress is Prof. Hironori Yamamoto, and the Vice-President is Prof. Takao Itoi.
The 1st congress was successfully held on September 5-6, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan. The president of the 1st congress was Prof. Haruhiro Inoue. Thanks to his distinguished programs, including live-demonstrations and hands-on courses, the 1st congress was a huge success with more than 400 abstracts and over 1,000 participants from more than 35 countries. The congress venue was buzzing with excitement. I deeply appreciate all faculty members, participants, sponsors, and staff.
We hope that JGES and you will achieve deeper collaboration and mutual development through this congress. We sincerely hope that colleagues from many countries will participate in this remarkable international JGES congress and have fruitful discussions. We extend our cordial invitation and look forward to seeing you again in 2026.

Message from President of Congress
Hironori Yamamoto, M.D., Ph.D., FJGES
- Professor, Jichi Medical University
Thanks to your support, the first JGES International achieved tremendous success beyond expectations, with the participation of a large number of endoscopists from around the world. This new conference, hosted by the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society with English as its official language, has become a significant milestone in the history of gastrointestinal endoscopy.
We are pleased to announce that the second JGES International will be held next year, in 2026. The dates are set for September 11th and 12th, 2026, and the venue will be the same as the first conference: the Toshi Center Hotel Tokyo.
At this conference, we aim to share the latest advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal endoscopy, including small bowel endoscopy, and to foster future development. Furthermore, to encourage active participation from young doctors, we will also accept abstract submissions for not only general poster and oral sessions, but also for symposiums, thereby expanding opportunities for participation in international conferences.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming many outstanding colleagues from around the world again next year. Your participation and collaboration are greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much, and we hope to see you in 2026.
